KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary School, temporary and ongoing starting September 2026

Duties as KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND
- Supporting pupils to access the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Assisting with academic, social, and emotional development
- Implementing interventions and support strategies
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive engagement
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff, and parents
- Supporting the creation of an inclusive and nurturing learning environment
Ideal KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND
- Experience working within a primary school setting is desirable
- Knowledge of autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs is beneficial
- Patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
