KS2 Teaching Assistant – Bacup

About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant, who is looking for a long term role in a Primary school in the Bacup area on a full time basis. The role is set to commence in September 2026, with shortlisting currently underway.

Key Skills and Attributes:

• Support class teacher with daily lesson delivery
• Provide 1:1 and small group intervention
• Assist with planning and preparation of classroom resources
• Support pupils with varying learning needs
• Promote positive behaviour and classroom engagement
• Help track pupil progress and attainment
• Support literacy and numeracy development
• Supervise pupils during break and transitions
• Assist with safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff

Pre-requisites:

• Experience working in UK primary schools
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Good understanding of safeguarding
