KS2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnet, London
Salary: £90 – £100 per day
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary, Long-term

The Role
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2, working closely with the class teacher and wider school team.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the whole class during lessons and activities.
- Working 1:1 with pupils when additional support is needed.
- Delivering small-group intervention work to help pupils make progress.
- Supporting pupils with confidence, independence and engagement.
- Helping prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and participation.
- Working closely with teachers to support pupil outcomes.
- Contributing to a calm, focused and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar school-based role.
- Confidence supporting pupils across KS2.
- A competent, proactive and reliable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to support whole-class, 1:1 and intervention work.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- A positive attitude and genuine interest in supporting children’s learning.
- The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
