About the Role

Our client is seeking an inspiring History Teacher to join a dedicated faculty in a secondary school located in Wolverhampton . This role focuses on delivering engaging and informative history lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, cultivating their understanding of historical events, societal changes, and critical analysis. You will be instrumental in igniting students' passion for the past and developing their ability to interpret historical evidence. The position requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and contributing positively to the school's academic and cultural life.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality history lessons for students in Key Stages 3 and 4 .
• Develop students' analytical and critical thinking skills through the study of diverse historical periods and themes.
• Create engaging lesson materials, including presentations, research tasks, and discussions.
• Assess student progress through regular assignments, tests, and coursework, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the humanities faculty and support whole-school initiatives.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• A degree in History or a closely related subject.
• Experience teaching History at the secondary school level in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum requirements for History.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
