About the Role

Our client is seeking an inspiring and dedicated English Teacher to join a dynamic faculty at a secondary school in Wolverhampton . This role involves imparting a love for literature and language to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, developing their analytical, comprehension, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons for KS3 and KS4 students, aligned with national curriculum standards.
• Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to foster improvement.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and intellectual curiosity.
• Develop students' literacy skills, including reading comprehension, writing, and critical analysis of texts.
• Contribute to departmental initiatives, curriculum development, and extracurricular activities related to English.
• Maintain high standards of professional conduct and engage in continuous professional development.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level within the UK education system.
• In-depth knowledge of the English curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4, including assessment requirements.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for English literature and language, with the ability to inspire students.
