KS3/KS4 Geography Teacher

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Liverpool . This role involves teaching Geography to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering their understanding of the world's physical and human environments. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, geographical skills, and a passion for the subject. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that inspire and challenge students across KS3 and KS4.
• Develop students' understanding of key geographical concepts, processes, and skills, including fieldwork and data analysis.
• Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages active participation and critical inquiry.
• Assess student progress through a variety of methods, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum and departmental initiatives.
• Ensure all students have the opportunity to achieve their potential in Geography.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• A degree in Geography or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Geography and examination specifications.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage young learners.
• A commitment to fostering a love for the subject and promoting geographical literacy.
