In addition to sharing a region, the three locations have one other thing in common: their passion for KUKA as a company and its technological innovation During this apprenticeship you will work in the supply chain department, completing Engineering Support and Operations qualifications to enable you to become a supply chain Engineer.
This role's duties will involve: Producing Requests For Quotation followed by Quote Analysis, Conduct negotiations with Supply Chain to optimise costs and timing Processing Project & Non Project Materiel Orders as required & Expedite Materiel from Supply Chain to meet Project timing and delivery requirements Generating and maintaining Supply Chain status reports and KPIs Generating Import and Export Documentation and maintain compliance Work Order & Production Planning including Routings and Bookings Having good General Engineering workshop equipment skills Turning, Milling, Grinding, Drilling to enable processing, fitting or assembling electrical / electronic features of new products as required Working to KUKA Corporate Compliance requirements Working Week At the company: Mon
- Thur 8am - 4.30pm, Fri 8am - 12.30pm Qualifications Required 5 GCSEs at 9 - 4 / A*
- C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Practical Foundation Training
in year 1, in 6 week blocks to include 4 weeks at Make UK and 2 weeks in company
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Workplace CompetenceTraining
in years 2 to 4 in company
Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Development Knowledge
in Years 1, 2 & 3 on block release to Make UK
In house training in line with your requirements.
Further qualifications deemed necessary by your employer On completion of your studies, you will achieve your full apprenticeship certification that will prove competence as a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Engineering Technician.
Future Prospects This 4 year programme will include:
- Engineering Basic Skills training
- off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
- A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering)
- In house training in line with your requirements.
