Location: Portlethen, Aberdeen AB12

Hours: Full‑time, 35 hours per week, or flexible options available

Your Core Responsibilities and Tasks

• Work safely and effectively in a laboratory environment, adhering to COSHH and risk assessments.
• Undertakes General Laboratory Projects to overcome customers’ technical challenges. When necessary, carries out product development to provide sustainable solutions that contribute to future sales.
• Performs quality control (QC) testing on raw materials and formulated products. Assists the manufacturing team with technical and product enquiries.
• Undertakes projects for the Drilling & Completions product line, applying the skills used in general laboratory projects alongside more in-depth testing and product development specific to these products

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a laboratory role, ideally with knowledge of drilling and completion fluid formulating (testing and field applications are a distinct advantage).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint.
• Ability to actively engage in resolving and promoting solutions to meet the requirements of our customers.
• Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the operational needs of the laboratory team through providing assistance to other lab departments as required.
• Offshore experience would be an advantage but not essential.
