Laboratory Team Leader

Our client is a leading provider of analytical services to customers across multiple industries including pharmaceutical, food, environmental and cosmetic. With laboratories spanning across the globe, an exciting role has arisen in Livingston to contribute towards the success of their Biopharmaceutical division.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop a small team within a busy Chemistry department, overseeing daily workloads and providing technical guidance as required.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients and collaborating teams, responsible for providing a high‑quality analytical service in compliance with GMP regulations.
• Schedule team activities.
• Conduct primary batch audits.
• Review analytical data.
• Provide laboratory support including maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation.
• Forecast and budget for the department.
• Train, develop and supervise the team.

Qualifications

Accomplished Analytical Chemist with a strong background within a GMP laboratory, experience operating HPLC/GC instrumentation, and a record of supervising or mentoring staff. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively across the business and externally are required.
