About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the digital arts and entertainment landscape, is seeking an accomplished Lead 3D Modeler to spearhead their modeling team in Manchester . This role is integral to the creation of high-fidelity 3D assets for diverse projects, from interactive experiences to visual media. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the creation of high-quality 3D models, including characters, environments, and props, ensuring they meet project specifications.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 3D modelers, providing technical guidance and artistic direction.
• Establish and enforce modeling standards, workflows, and best practices for the team.
• Collaborate with art directors, technical artists, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of assets.
• Conduct regular reviews of team members' work, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and techniques in 3D modeling and asset creation.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a 3D Modeler, with a proven track record in a leadership or senior role within the games or VFX industry .
• A strong portfolio demonstrating mastery of high-poly and low-poly modeling techniques, texturing, and UV mapping.
• Expert proficiency in industry-standard 3D modeling software such as Maya , ZBrush , and Substance Painter .
• Excellent understanding of topology, form, and visual design principles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in optimizing assets for real-time rendering and game engines is highly desirable.
