About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Lead AI Platform Engineer to build and scale the infrastructure that powers our advanced AI initiatives. This fully remote role is critical for ensuring our data scientists and ML engineers have the robust, efficient, and scalable tools they need to develop and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions. You will be responsible for the architecture, development, and maintenance of our AI/ML platform, fostering a culture of operational excellence and innovation. Your work will directly enable the next generation of AI-driven products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage a scalable and reliable AI/ML platform using cloud technologies.
- Develop and maintain MLOps pipelines for automated model training, deployment, and monitoring.
- Build infrastructure for data ingestion, processing, and storage optimized for AI workloads.
- Ensure the security, performance, and cost-effectiveness of the AI platform.
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide solutions.
- Champion best practices in software engineering, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD within the AI domain.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps, with a significant focus on ML platforms.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with MLOps tools and frameworks (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Sagemaker).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills for managing a remote team and collaborating with stakeholders.
