Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of complex air traffic control (ATC) systems, including surveillance, communication, and navigation technologies.
- Oversee the integration of new ATC systems and software upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to live operations.
- Develop and enforce stringent system performance, reliability, and safety standards in accordance with aviation regulations.
- Manage a team of ATC systems engineers and technical specialists, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative remote work environment.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies, airlines, and other stakeholders to ensure system compliance and operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical system issues in real-time, ensuring the continuity of air traffic operations.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in air traffic control systems engineering and management.
- In-depth knowledge of radar, ADS-B, communication systems, and flight data processing.
- Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing complex projects.
- Familiarity with aviation standards and regulations (e.g., EUROCONTROL, FAA, EASA).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills, suitable for a remote leadership role.
