Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join their operational hub in Milton Keynes . This crucial role involves overseeing the day-to-day maintenance activities for a fleet of aircraft, ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and airworthiness. You will lead a team of skilled technicians, manage maintenance schedules, and ensure all work is performed in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures. This hybrid position offers a blend of hands-on technical work and leadership responsibilities, contributing significantly to the operational success of a prominent aviation organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a team of aircraft maintenance technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and task allocation.
• Perform and certify complex maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on aircraft systems and components.
• Ensure strict adherence to Part-145 regulations and company maintenance procedures.
• Manage aircraft maintenance records and documentation accurately and completely.
• Identify and address technical issues, developing solutions to minimize aircraft downtime.
• Conduct quality inspections and audits to ensure maintenance standards are met and continuously improved.

Requirements

• Qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with relevant certifications (e.g., EASA Part-66 Category B1 or B2).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft line and/or base maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or lead technician role.
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting techniques, and maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with aviation safety management systems and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
