About the Role

Our client is searching for an accomplished and visionary Lead Animation Supervisor to spearhead their animation department in Newcastle upon Tyne . Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the animation team throughout all phases of production, from pre-visualization to final output.
• Establish and maintain animation quality standards, providing clear direction and feedback to animators.
• Collaborate closely with directors, art directors, and VFX supervisors to realize the artistic vision for characters and environments.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges within the animation pipeline and implement efficient solutions.
• Conduct regular reviews, provide constructive criticism, and mentor animators to enhance their skills and career growth.
• Ensure timely delivery of animation assets, managing schedules and resource allocation effectively.

Requirements

• Proven track record as an Animation Supervisor or a senior animator with extensive leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of animation principles, character performance, and body mechanics.
• Expertise in 3D animation software such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender.
• Experience managing and motivating creative teams in a production environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional character animation and supervisory capabilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for storytelling through animation.
