About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Architect to spearhead design initiatives from their prominent Newcastle upon Tyne office. This senior position involves overseeing the entire architectural process, from initial client consultation and conceptual design through to project completion and handover. You will be responsible for leading a talented team of architects and designers, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, innovative, and sustainable architectural solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of architectural projects, ensuring creative vision and technical integrity are maintained.
• Manage project teams, resources, and timelines effectively to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Engage directly with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert architectural advice and solutions.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant UK building regulations, planning permissions, and environmental standards.
• Conduct rigorous design reviews and quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Professional qualification as an Architect, registered with the ARB/RIBA.
• Significant experience (e.g., 8+ years) in architectural practice, with a strong portfolio of successfully delivered projects.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing design teams.
• Expertise in AutoCAD , Revit , and other relevant architectural software.
• Deep understanding of construction technologies, materials, and UK planning and regulatory frameworks.
