About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Architect to spearhead design initiatives within their growing practice based in Coventry . This senior role requires a creative thinker with a proven track record of leading complex projects from conception through to completion, ensuring design excellence and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for guiding a team of talented designers and technologists, fostering a collaborative and innovative studio culture, and driving the firm's architectural vision forward. This hybrid position offers the best of both worlds, combining in-office collaboration and client engagement with the flexibility of remote work for focused design tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design process for major architectural projects, from initial concept development to detailed construction documentation.
- Mentor and manage a team of architects, technologists, and junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and collaboration.
- Engage directly with clients to understand their vision, present design proposals, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all designs comply with planning regulations, building codes, and sustainability standards.
- Oversee the technical development of projects, ensuring constructability and quality assurance.
- Represent the firm in client meetings, public consultations, and at industry events.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Architect with significant post-qualification experience.
- Demonstrable experience in leading and delivering a variety of project types and scales.
- Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design sensibility and technical proficiency.
- Expert knowledge of architectural design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) and relevant industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work model , balancing on-site collaboration with remote focused work.
