About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Architect to spearhead the design and delivery of significant projects from their Birmingham studio. You will be instrumental in guiding project teams, fostering client relationships, and ensuring the highest standards of architectural quality are met throughout the design and construction phases. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design process for a range of complex projects, from initial concept to final handover.
- Manage and mentor a team of architects and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure design satisfaction.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant planning policies, building regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Present design proposals and project updates to clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
Requirements
- Qualified Architect with significant post-qualification experience, holding ARB/RIBA membership.
- Demonstrated experience in leading design teams and managing large-scale architectural projects.
- Strong portfolio showcasing excellence in design, technical detailing, and project delivery.
- Proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit and AutoCAD.
- Excellent understanding of UK planning law and building regulations.
- Strong client-facing and presentation skills.
