About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Lead Architectural Designer to spearhead design initiatives within their globally recognized, fully remote studio. This position is crucial for driving the conceptualisation and aesthetic direction of groundbreaking projects, fostering a collaborative design culture, and mentoring a talented team of designers. You will be instrumental in shaping the visual identity and functional excellence of our client's diverse portfolio, working from anywhere in the UK. This role demands a passionate individual with a forward-thinking approach to design and a proven ability to lead and inspire creative teams in a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptual design process for a variety of architectural projects, pushing creative boundaries and ensuring innovative solutions.
• Develop and refine design concepts, translating them into compelling visualisations, presentations, and detailed design packages.
• Mentor and manage a team of architectural designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure design intent is understood and realized throughout project delivery.
• Stay abreast of emerging design trends, technologies, and sustainable practices to integrate them into project work.
• Maintain the highest standards of design quality and brand consistency across all projects undertaken by the remote studio.

Requirements

• Significant experience in architectural design, with a proven track record in a leadership or senior role.
• Exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative design concepts, strong aesthetic judgment, and excellent presentation skills.
• Proficiency in design software such as Rhino , Grasshopper, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• A strong understanding of architectural theory, history, and contemporary design discourse.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a remote team.
• Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
