Lead Architectural Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and meticulous Lead Architectural Technician to oversee technical design and documentation for a variety of exciting projects in Coventry . This role is crucial for ensuring the successful translation of architectural concepts into buildable, high-quality structures, adhering to all regulatory requirements and construction best practices. You will work at the forefront of technical design, managing a team of technicians and liaising with architects and contractors to deliver exceptional results. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to precision and detail in all aspects of their work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed technical drawings, specifications, and building information models (BIM).
• Ensure compliance with all relevant UK building regulations, standards, and health and safety legislation.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and structural engineers to resolve technical issues.
• Supervise and mentor a team of architectural technicians, delegating tasks and overseeing workload.
• Conduct quality control checks on technical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Liaise with contractors and site teams during the construction phase to provide technical support and clarification.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as an Architectural Technician , with a significant portion in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, and CAD software like AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of construction techniques, materials, and UK building codes.
• HNC/HND in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
