About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Architectural Technologist to manage the technical design and delivery aspects of projects based in their Newcastle upon Tyne office. You will be responsible for translating architectural designs into detailed technical drawings and specifications, ensuring constructability and adherence to building codes. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction information for a variety of building projects.
- Oversee the technical design process, ensuring compliance with building regulations and British Standards.
- Coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and site teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Manage the preparation of tender documentation and support the procurement process.
- Implement and manage BIM processes to enhance design coordination and information sharing.
Requirements
- HNC/HND or Degree in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience as an Architectural Technologist, with a focus on technical design and delivery.
- Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit, and AutoCAD.
- Thorough knowledge of UK building regulations, construction techniques, and materials.
- Experience in leading technical teams and coordinating complex projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to accuracy.
