About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join their remote team. This pivotal role involves providing expert remote diagnostic support and technical guidance to a network of service centers across the UK. You will be the go-to expert for complex vehicle issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and your extensive knowledge to solve problems that others cannot. Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote expert-level diagnostics for complex vehicle issues, including engine, transmission, electrical, and hybrid/EV systems.
• Analyze diagnostic data, vehicle telemetry, and technical reports to identify root causes of failures.
• Develop and document troubleshooting procedures and best practices for common and complex faults.
• Offer remote technical support and guidance to on-site technicians, assisting them in resolving challenging repairs.
• Stay abreast of the latest automotive technologies and diagnostic techniques, especially concerning electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Contribute to the development of remote diagnostic tools and knowledge base.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as an Automotive Technician, with a significant focus on diagnostics.
• Master Technician accreditation or equivalent recognised qualification is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with a wide range of automotive diagnostic equipment and software.
• Deep understanding of internal combustion engines, hybrid systems, electric vehicles, and advanced vehicle electronics.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication abilities to effectively guide and instruct others remotely.
