Our client, a reputable automotive repair centre in Newcastle upon Tyne , is seeking a skilled Lead Automotive Electrician to oversee their electrical repair services. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing intricate electrical issues across a broad spectrum of vehicles, leading a team of technicians and ensuring the highest quality of workmanship. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of automotive electricians, providing technical guidance and supervision.
• Diagnose and repair complex electrical faults in vehicle systems, including ECUs, wiring harnesses, sensors, and lighting.
• Install and configure aftermarket electrical components and accessories.
• Develop and implement standardised diagnostic procedures for electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant automotive regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with service advisors to provide accurate quotes and explanations for electrical repairs to customers.

Requirements

• Significant experience as an Automotive Electrician , with a proven ability to diagnose complex electrical issues.
• A formal qualification in automotive electrical systems or equivalent demonstrable expertise.
• Proficiency with advanced diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, and multi-meters specific to the automotive field.
• Experience in leading or supervising a technical team is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN) and electronic control modules.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-facing abilities in a Newcastle upon Tyne context.
