Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex embedded software for automotive applications, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of embedded software engineers, fostering their professional growth and performance.
- Define software architecture, select appropriate technologies, and guide the team through the entire software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, hardware design, and validation, to ensure seamless integration.
- Oversee the development of real-time operating systems (RTOS), drivers, and middleware for automotive ECUs.
- Drive innovation by exploring and integrating new technologies and methodologies into the development process.
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and safety of embedded software through rigorous code reviews, testing strategies, and adherence to automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively to ensure successful project completion in a remote setting.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in embedded software development, with at least 3 years in a lead or architect role within the automotive industry .
- Extensive expertise in C/C++ programming, embedded systems, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Deep understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, AUTOSAR, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.
- Proven experience with software architecture design, system modeling, and requirements management tools.
- Strong knowledge of automotive functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, particularly in a remote team environment.
