About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Lead Automotive Service Advisor to manage their service reception in Manchester . This role is crucial for ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all customers, from initial booking to vehicle collection. You will be the primary point of contact, translating customer needs into actionable service orders for the workshop team and ensuring clear communication throughout the repair process. Your leadership will guide the service advisory team to achieve service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally, understanding their vehicle's service or repair needs.
• Accurately assess customer requirements and create detailed repair orders for the workshop technicians.
• Provide clear, concise explanations of recommended services and associated costs to customers.
• Effectively manage the workshop's appointment schedule to optimize technician utilization and minimise customer wait times.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with empathy and professionalism, seeking timely resolution.
• Lead and mentor a team of service advisors, ensuring consistent high performance and adherence to company standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor , with at least 3 years in a customer-facing role.
• Strong understanding of automotive mechanics and repair processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in using dealership management systems (DMS) and standard office software.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role is highly desirable.
