About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Automotive Software Engineer to spearhead their software development efforts from a remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Architect, design, and develop scalable and reliable software solutions for automotive embedded systems, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, product managers, and systems engineers to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and ensure the code quality and maintainability of the software solutions.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role within the automotive industry.
• Extensive experience with C/C++, Python, or other relevant programming languages, and embedded systems development.
• Deep understanding of automotive software architectures, AUTOSAR, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Proven experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and tools (Git, Jira).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage remote teams effectively.
