About the Role

Our client is looking for a visionary Lead Automotive Software Engineer to spearhead the development of next-generation vehicle software solutions. Working in a fully remote capacity, you will guide a team of talented engineers in designing, implementing, and testing embedded software for automotive control units, infotainment systems, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of embedded software for automotive applications, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, systems engineers, and product managers to define software specifications and roadmaps.
• Implement and enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
• Stay current with emerging trends in automotive software, cybersecurity, and embedded systems development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in embedded software development, with a significant portion within the automotive industry .
• Proven experience leading software engineering teams and managing projects.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.
• Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
