About the Role

Our client is searching for a distinguished Lead Aviation Safety Investigator to spearhead their remote investigation efforts. In this critical role, you will lead teams in examining aviation incidents, determining root causes, and formulating actionable safety recommendations to prevent future occurrences. You will leverage your extensive expertise and advanced analytical skills to conduct thorough investigations, report findings, and promote a proactive safety culture across the organisation. This position offers the unique advantage of contributing significantly to aviation safety from a fully remote operational base, working with a dedicated and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex aviation safety investigations, from initial response to final reporting.
• Conduct detailed analysis of accident and incident data, including flight recorders, maintenance records, and witness statements.
• Develop and implement effective safety management systems (SMS) and risk assessment protocols.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, industry experts, and internal stakeholders to ensure comprehensive investigation outcomes.
• Prepare and present detailed investigation reports, findings, and safety recommendations to senior management and regulatory authorities.
• Mentor and guide junior investigators, fostering a high standard of investigative practice.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in aviation safety investigation or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in accident/incident investigation methodologies and air safety principles.
• Thorough knowledge of international aviation regulations and standards.
• Proven leadership and project management skills.
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant certifications in aviation safety investigation are highly desirable.
