About the Role

Our client is recruiting a highly experienced Lead Biostatistician to head their statistical analysis efforts for groundbreaking clinical research programs based in Cardiff . This senior role demands a strategic thinker capable of designing robust clinical trial methodologies, ensuring statistical integrity, and leading a team of biostatisticians. You will work closely with clinical operations, data management, and regulatory affairs to ensure that study designs and analyses meet the highest scientific and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and statistical analysis of Phase I-IV clinical trials, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.
• Develop statistical analysis plans (SAPs), define endpoints, and select appropriate statistical methodologies.
• Oversee the generation of statistical tables, listings, and figures for clinical study reports and regulatory submissions.
• Manage and mentor a team of biostatisticians, fostering professional development and high performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity throughout the research lifecycle.
• Provide statistical expertise for grant proposals, research publications, and presentations.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in biostatistics , with a significant portion in clinical trial research.
• Demonstrated experience in leading statistical teams and projects.
• Proficiency in statistical software packages such as SAS, R, or SPSS.
• Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements for clinical trials (e.g., ICH, FDA, EMA).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex statistical concepts clearly in Cardiff .
