Lead Blockchain Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Blockchain Architect to spearhead blockchain initiatives from their office in Newcastle upon Tyne . This senior position requires an individual with a profound understanding of blockchain technology, distributed systems, and strategic technology planning. You will be responsible for defining the technical vision, architectural standards, and best practices for all blockchain-related projects. This is a leadership role where you will guide development teams, mentor junior engineers, and engage with stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of enterprise-grade blockchain solutions in the Crypto & Blockchain sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the overall technical architecture for blockchain platforms and applications.
• Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and efficient blockchain networks and protocols.
• Evaluate and select appropriate blockchain technologies, tools, and frameworks for various project requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and enforce blockchain development standards, best practices, and security protocols.
• Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for leveraging blockchain technology to drive innovation and efficiency.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in software architecture and development, with a significant focus on blockchain technology .
• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex, large-scale blockchain solutions.
• Deep expertise in various blockchain protocols (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Corda) and consensus algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, cryptography, and network security principles.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams in a technical capacity.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
