About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Lead Blockchain Engineer to spearhead their blockchain initiatives in Newcastle upon Tyne . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and efficient blockchain systems and decentralized applications.
• Manage and mentor a team of blockchain developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Oversee the development lifecycle of blockchain projects, from concept and design to implementation and deployment.
• Ensure the security and integrity of blockchain networks and smart contracts through rigorous testing and audits.
• Collaborate with product management, business analysts, and other engineering teams to define technical strategies and roadmaps.
• Drive innovation by researching and recommending new blockchain technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in software engineering, with a significant focus on blockchain development and architecture.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and successfully delivering complex blockchain projects.
• Deep understanding of distributed ledger technologies, smart contracts, and consensus algorithms.
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as Solidity, Go, Rust, or C++.
• Experience with various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Polkadot, Solana) and related tools.
• Strong knowledge of cryptography, security best practices, and network protocols in Newcastle upon Tyne .
