Our client is seeking a highly motivated Lead Chemical Process Engineer to spearhead process innovation and optimization initiatives in Birmingham . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex chemical processes, overseeing all project phases.
- Mentor and manage a team of process engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
- Conduct in-depth process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement robust safety protocols.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for process engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Operations, and Maintenance, to ensure seamless integration of new processes.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts, identifying opportunities for process enhancement and cost reduction.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in chemical process engineering, with a proven track record in leading projects and teams.
- Deep understanding of process simulation software, P&ID development, and PFD creation.
- Expertise in process safety, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects within scope and budget.
