Lead Civil Engineer - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Lead Civil Engineer to spearhead critical projects within a fully remote capacity. This role is ideal for a self-driven professional who can manage complex civil engineering initiatives from conception through to completion without the need for a physical office presence. You will be instrumental in shaping project strategies, ensuring adherence to the highest engineering standards, and fostering collaboration among geographically dispersed teams. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert leadership and technical direction for major civil engineering projects, managing all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Develop innovative and sustainable engineering solutions for infrastructure, transportation, and land development projects.
• Oversee the creation and review of complex design calculations, detailed drawings, and technical specifications.
• Manage project teams, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure seamless communication and coordination across remote team members.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and external consultants to ensure project goals and compliance requirements are met.
• Implement robust quality assurance and control procedures throughout the project delivery process.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Extensive professional experience (10+ years) in civil engineering, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects.
• Expertise in structural analysis, geotechnical engineering , and hydraulic design.
• Proficiency with advanced civil engineering software and simulation tools.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and remote team management skills.
• Must hold or be working towards Chartered Engineer status (CEng).
