About the Role

Our client seeks a highly experienced Lead Civil Engineer to spearhead structural design initiatives for complex building and infrastructure projects in Manchester . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
• Manage and mentor a team of civil and structural engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Perform advanced structural analysis and design calculations for foundations, superstructures, and earthworks.
• Review design documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with codes.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to address technical queries and resolve design challenges.
• Develop and implement innovative structural engineering solutions to optimize project outcomes.

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE, IStructE).
• Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design and project leadership.
• Expertise in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro.
• In-depth knowledge of UK structural design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes).
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex structural engineering projects.
