About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Civil Engineer to take charge of key projects within their Coventry office. This senior position involves leading a team of civil engineers and technicians, ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence and project delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of civil engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Oversee the technical aspects of civil engineering designs, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and implement project plans, including scope, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct thorough site assessments and provide expert advice on engineering solutions and challenges.
- Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications prepared by the engineering team.
Requirements
- BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Significant experience in a senior or lead civil engineering role, with a track record of successfully delivered projects.
- Expertise in structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, and drainage design.
- Proficiency in industry-standard civil engineering software (e.g., PDS, Bentley products).
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Membership of a professional engineering institution (e.g., ICE) is essential.
