About the Role
Our client, a respected engineering consultancy in Stoke-on-Trent , is seeking an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to manage and deliver a portfolio of key infrastructure projects. This role involves technical leadership, project oversight, and client engagement, offering a blend of office-based collaboration and remote working flexibility. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall design process for major civil engineering projects, including strategic planning and technical direction.
- Manage project teams, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient and high-quality project delivery.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Oversee the preparation and approval of all technical documentation, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols throughout the construction phase.
- Mentor and develop junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with substantial relevant experience.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in civil engineering, with proven leadership capabilities.
- Expertise in advanced design software, project management tools, and construction methods.
- Strong understanding of UK planning law, environmental regulations, and health and safety legislation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
