Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Claims Adjuster to oversee their claims processing operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of claims adjusters, setting performance goals and providing regular feedback.
- Oversee the investigation, evaluation, and settlement of complex and high-value insurance claims across various lines of business.
- Develop and implement efficient claims handling procedures and policies to ensure prompt and fair resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements in claims processing.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex claims disputes and provide expert guidance.
- Analyze claims data to identify trends, potential fraud, and areas for process improvement.
Requirements
- Significant experience (7+ years) as a Claims Adjuster, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, claims investigation techniques, and settlement practices.
- Strong understanding of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks governing insurance claims.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
