About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly experienced Lead Cloud Security Engineer to architect, implement, and manage security for their cloud-based infrastructure, operating in a fully remote capacity. This senior role requires a deep understanding of cloud security principles and best practices across major cloud platforms. You will be responsible for defining the security strategy, ensuring compliance, and protecting sensitive data in the cloud environment. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust security architectures for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
- Lead security incident response efforts for cloud-based threats and breaches.
- Implement and manage security controls such as IAM, encryption, network security groups, and WAFs.
- Conduct security assessments, audits, and vulnerability management for cloud resources.
- Mentor junior security engineers and collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure secure cloud deployments.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in cloud security engineering with a focus on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing secure cloud architectures.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security tools, services, and native security features.
- Experience with security automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of container security and serverless security concepts.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or CISSP are highly desirable.
