Lead Cloud Security Engineer

Our client is seeking an expert Lead Cloud Security Engineer to join their team in a fully remote capacity. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive security strategies and solutions across their cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Design, build, and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access management solutions.
• Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management to identify and remediate risks.
• Automate security tasks and incident response processes using scripting and relevant tools.
• Monitor security alerts and logs, investigating and responding to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure security is integrated into the entire development lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud security best practices to the wider team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on cloud security.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices across major cloud providers.
• Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, and vulnerability scanners.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for security automation.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or cloud-specific security certifications are highly desirable.
