About the Role
Our client, a rapidly expanding cloud services provider in Glasgow , is looking for a visionary Lead Cloud Solutions Architect . You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions for a diverse range of clients. This role requires a deep understanding of various cloud platforms and the ability to translate complex business requirements into robust technical architectures. You will guide client engagements, mentor a team of architects and engineers, and play a key role in shaping the company's cloud strategy and service offerings, driving innovation and client success in the competitive cloud market.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, document, and present comprehensive cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) tailored to client needs.
- Lead technical design sessions and ensure solutions align with best practices for scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to develop proposals and address technical challenges.
- Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to cloud engineers and junior architects.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to enhance service offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of experience in IT architecture, with a significant focus on cloud computing.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, databases, and application architectures in a cloud context.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
