About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Compositor to join their innovative visual effects team, working remotely from anywhere. This leadership position involves overseeing the compositing process for high-end film and television projects, ensuring seamless integration of visual elements and maintaining the highest aesthetic standards. You will guide a team of compositors, troubleshoot complex shots, and collaborate closely with VFX supervisors and directors to bring creative visions to life. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of compositors, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to project deadlines.
- Perform complex compositing tasks, including layering, colour correction, matte extraction, and integration.
- Collaborate with VFX supervisors and directors to define and achieve the desired look for shots.
- Develop and implement efficient compositing workflows and techniques.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and provide solutions for complex compositing issues.
- Review work from other compositors, providing constructive feedback and ensuring consistency.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Compositor in feature film or high-end television production, with demonstrated lead experience.
- Expert proficiency in compositing software such as Nuke, Fusion, or similar.
- Strong understanding of colour theory, lighting, and photographic principles.
- Experience with green screen keying, rotoscoping, and matte painting integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the capacity to manage and inspire a remote team.
