Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced computational and statistical analyses for large-scale biological datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics).
• Lead and mentor a team of computational biologists and bioinformaticians, providing technical guidance and project management.
• Develop novel algorithms and pipelines to identify biological patterns, biomarkers, and therapeutic targets.
• Collaborate closely with experimental biologists and clinicians to integrate computational findings with experimental validation and clinical data.
• Present research findings at scientific conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and direction of the company's computational biology initiatives.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in computational biology or bioinformatics, with a significant portion in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated expertise in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant bioinformatics libraries and tools.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and biological pathways.
• Experience managing and leading scientific teams, preferably in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
