Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated control systems and automation solutions for the energy industry.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of control system projects, from conceptualization and specification to commissioning and ongoing support, in a fully remote environment.
• Develop and implement strategies for system integration, cybersecurity, and data acquisition for distributed energy assets.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of control systems engineers, fostering best practices and continuous learning.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across operations, project management, and R&D to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex issues in control systems and automation, developing and implementing effective, long-term solutions remotely.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in control systems engineering, with a strong background in the energy sector .
• Demonstrated expertise in PLC, SCADA, DCS, and HMI systems, as well as industrial networking protocols.
• Proven experience in leading complex engineering projects and managing technical teams remotely.
• Excellent understanding of cybersecurity principles for industrial control systems.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, adapted for a remote work setting.
