About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Lead Crypto Security Analyst to spearhead security initiatives within their globally distributed team, operating in a remote-first environment. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks across our blockchain infrastructure, smart contracts, and digital asset operations. This critical role demands a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles applied to the unique challenges of the crypto and blockchain ecosystem. You will play a key part in safeguarding our digital assets and maintaining the trust of our users and partners, working remotely from anywhere in the UK, contributing to a secure and resilient decentralized future.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security audits and code reviews of smart contracts and blockchain protocols to identify vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement robust security policies, procedures, and best practices for handling digital assets.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches or anomalies within the blockchain network and related systems.
- Perform threat modeling and risk assessments to proactively identify potential security weaknesses and devise mitigation strategies.
- Monitor blockchain networks for suspicious activities, exploits, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate security considerations into the entire development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in cybersecurity, with a specialization in blockchain and cryptocurrency security .
- Deep understanding of common smart contract vulnerabilities (e.g., reentrancy, integer overflows) and their mitigation.
- Proficiency in security analysis tools and techniques relevant to blockchain technologies.
- Experience with penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and incident response.
- Strong knowledge of cryptographic principles, digital signatures, and network security.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security issues clearly.
