About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Lead Data Scientist specializing in Machine Learning to join their analytics team in Leeds . You will lead the development and implementation of advanced machine learning models to solve complex business problems, drive data-driven decision-making, and extract actionable insights from large datasets. This role involves guiding a team of data scientists, defining project roadmaps, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to leverage data for competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated machine learning models and algorithms.
• Identify opportunities to apply data science techniques to business challenges and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
• Mentor and guide a team of data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate ML models into production systems.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record in developing and deploying machine learning solutions.
• Strong expertise in Python or R, and experience with ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Experience with cloud platforms and ML services (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML).
