About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a highly motivated Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead their infrastructure and deployment initiatives in Coventry . This is a critical role responsible for building and maintaining a robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure that supports their suite of software products. You will champion DevOps best practices, automate operational processes, and foster a culture of collaboration between development and operations teams. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in cloud environments and a passion for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, playing a key role in accelerating software delivery cycles and enhancing system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of applications.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS , Azure, or GCP, focusing on cost-efficiency and security.
- Implement and manage container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of new features and services.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, with at least 4 years in a lead capacity.
- Strong expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with cloud provider services (AWS , Azure, GCP).
- In-depth knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
