About the Role
Our client seeks a highly motivated and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead their infrastructure and operations in Coventry . This role is critical in enhancing our client's software development and deployment pipelines, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency. You will lead a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, and site reliability engineering, with a passion for optimizing development workflows and ensuring robust system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
- Oversee and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and rapid issue resolution.
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement preventative measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role, with a proven track record of leading teams.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms and services.
- Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with IaC tools.
- Excellent understanding of networking, security principles, and system administration.
