About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead their infrastructure and deployment strategies at their Manchester headquarters. This critical role involves establishing and managing the CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation tools essential for delivering software efficiently and reliably. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across all infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Develop automation scripts for system provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring.
- Lead and mentor the DevOps team, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and operational readiness.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a similar role.
- Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) and IaC tools.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Deep understanding of networking, security, and monitoring tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
