About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead their infrastructure and deployment initiatives in Birmingham . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) to support business needs.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of applications.
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Oversee system monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability and performance.
- Mentor and guide a team of DevOps engineers, fostering skill development and best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior or lead DevOps role, with a strong background in cloud environments.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Deep understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure as code tools.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and system administration principles.
