Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Educational Psychologists, ensuring effective service delivery and professional development.
• Conduct complex psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for children and young people with diverse needs.
• Provide expert consultation and training to educational settings, parents, and other professionals on matters relating to child development, learning, and mental health.
• Develop and implement evidence-based strategies and programs to address systemic issues and promote positive educational environments.
• Contribute to the strategic planning, service development, and quality assurance of the educational psychology service.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, research, and best practice in the field of Educational Psychology.

Requirements

• A postgraduate degree in Educational Psychology (or equivalent) and HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist.
• Significant post-qualification experience in a statutory or independent educational psychology setting.
• Demonstrated experience in leadership and managing a team of psychologists.
• Expertise in a range of assessment tools and intervention strategies for children and young people.
• Strong understanding of child development, learning processes, and mental health within educational contexts.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
