About the Role

Our client seeks a dynamic and experienced Lead Electrical Design Engineer to spearhead their electrical design efforts in Brighton . Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical design engineers, overseeing their technical development and project contributions.
• Develop and implement strategic electrical design standards, best practices, and processes.
• Oversee the conceptualization, design, and development of complex electrical systems from initial concept through to production.
• Collaborate with project management, R&D, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and project success.
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and performance analysis to ensure quality and reliability.
• Manage external design consultants and vendor relationships as required.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Chartered Engineer status is a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Expertise in electrical system design , power distribution, control systems, and schematic capture.
• Proven experience with EDA tools and simulation software for complex designs.
• Strong understanding of relevant industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional leadership, team management, and communication skills.
